Does the University of Mississippi offer conditional admissions?
- UM does allow conditional admission for undergraduate study. This means that international applicants who have met all requirements for admission to undergraduate study with the exception of English language proficiency may be conditionally admitted to an undergraduate degree program.
- Applicants who wish to be considered for conditional admission to undergraduate study must submit the online application for admission and submit the requisite application items, in which they must expressly convey their interest in being considered for conditional admission.
- Conditionally admitted students are initially permitted to enroll in courses at the Intensive English Program only. Students will be permitted to enroll in undergraduate academic courses only after satisfactory English language proficiency for admission has been demonstrated. See above “What are the University’s English language proficiency requirements?”
